What does your first travel feel like? Well, for sure it was one of your peerless moments than the ordinary events of your life. It was like drinking a cup of espresso four times per day when you saw your first seat number on your boarding pass.
My close-friend visited me in my workplace last May 2017 and she stayed for six days. I was so proud of her when she had her first trip abroad since she got her passport when were in college. We were just dreaming about visiting places when we were at our playful age as we don't have enough funds before to travel by ourselves. We and our colleagues had our indelible times with an affordable ice cream float in a fast food chain nearby our university. But now, I wasn't able to narrate my exultation when we are able to have our coffee break in an unreachable shop in the middle of the dry desert.
First, it was hard for me to portion my prosperity as I took an annual vacation on the next week but what I was thinking to share what I had that day and didn't mind what will be on the next days as I trust God that He'll bless me more fruits. So, we exchange our innumerable thoughts about our lives after graduation way back to 2014. Nothing was changed since our first talk on 2010. I divulge that I missed her a lot even we had unhanded situation before.
Every snick of our watches were countless as we are having our unstoppable gossips about everything we had and about our other close-friend named "Coco", I hope she can forgive us. Coco was known of not having a mole on her feet but it shows up when we traveled almost 10 hours going to North by land last month. "Loner", my close- friend who visited me here was so excited to catch her dream to be thrown on air on the next day. She asked me to go with her on the enormous rides in Ferrari World Abu Dhabi which was one of the only two ferrari indoor amusement parks on earth, originated in Italy.
"Face your fears", the first words came up on my mind. On that day, I wasn't able to drink coffee or eat as usual as I can because I was afraid to belch while I am on the ride. I was really petrified on our first ride with a roller coaster but then, it turns to glee when we went three times on each extreme rides inside the park. I've learned from her that whatever struggle came into my life, I shouldn't be afraid of facing it until I got honor after solving certain issues which can make me feel wretched instead of feeling my joy today. It was a fun day. We used to run like a 7 year old grade school in a field trip.
On the following days, we met her other friends and old colleagues in different emirates of the desert land. We had cherished moments by singing and having good meal on some unfriendly formal dining. On our seven years of friendship, that was the only time I 've heard her singing and it was like "Uh, alright. She wears braces". Well, I don't have that a "diva like" voice but at least I can sing on melodies, maybe like lullabies. That time, I also realized that everyone can have a great time even without alcohol cocktails on our table as long as we are enjoying our time together because normally on our age, they used to bring out some gin to be more dynamic, well, I don't believe on that when I grew up but I used to.
Time came to say "Au Revoir" for now dear desert land for both of us as I traveled home as well for a 24 days annual vacation. I saw my friend's happiness when spent her dirhams in duty free to buy "parfum" for her mom. As we soar in the same plane, I was able to leave my pain and sorrows in the desert land as I will be landing on the land of real joy and contentment, my dear home country where my family was waiting for my arrival since 2016.
Proverbs 3:23-24 - "Then you will go safely on your way, and you will not hurt your foot. When you lie down, you will not be afraid. As you lie there, your sleep will be sweet."
Don't be afraid to travel alone as God will lead our paths into His beautiful creations where there'll be no harm as He protects us like shepherd who guided his sheep on the right way to their comfort zone. It will be a pleasure when we have the chance to step on His wonderful natural creations and appreciate it as precious gift from heaven where you will be able to restore your faith on Him that whatever interrupts your walk with Him, still He is our God who will catch us to sing with Him in His kingdom once our human home collapsed.
