Her hit songs from the said album like “Don’t Forget” and “La La Land “were performed by her as Jonas Brothers’ front act on some of their concerts in 2009 to 2010. She later released her second album “Here We Go Again” in 2009 with the hits “Here we go again”, “Remember December” and “Got Dynamite”. On her first two solo albums, it sounded more on pop – rock and really amazing because of the lyrics and her powerful voice at her young age of 16 – 17. Most of its songs were written-composed by the Jonas brothers as well.
She was aired as well in some tv series, “Grace Anatomy” in 2010 before she entered rehab for some disorders. Few months later, she released her third album “Unbroken” which was inspired by her previous challenging situation and struggles in her personal life. “Skyscraper” and “Give your heart a break” were on the billboard charts and was sold on all stores in the world. She started to focus more on music at that time and started touring around the world with her band. She had her even powerful voice and hit even higher notes on her next and fifth album, “Confident” in 2015 with the hits “Confident” and “Cool for the summer”. In this album, she proved that she can also sing pop songs, which sounds way different from her old rock songs. In 2016, she released songs ‘Body Say” from unidentified album. Why am I telling you these? Simple because I am a huge fan of Demi Lovato since 2013 who missed her two concerts in Manila in 2013 too and in 2015. But I believed that our paths will cross someday so when I heard that she’ll be the main artist in Virgin Radio Red Festival Dubai event last February 2017, I immediately bought my “red fan” ticket online.
February 3rd was her performance schedule and the last day of the said fest. On February 2nd, some artist like Sean Paul and Geazzy performed during the rainy cold night. I was so excited and even arrived too early in the venue on Feb 3, Friday and my off day but due to very bad weather that time with flying sign boards everywhere, the event was postponed on the next day. Skies are clear and sunny day, perfect time to watch your first ever concert. Finally! I watched her perfom live and very close to me. I couldn’t hold my tears as she entered the stage. Audience can’t help singing her songs along. Some popular artist performed before her, Tove Lo with her hit “Habbits” and Mike Posner with his hits “Cooler than me” and “Pill in Ibiza”.
She’s really an awesome diva and can sing live properly. It was like a dream came true for me. It was my first ever attended concert with international artist and imagine how cool was that. How cool that my first ever concert attended was the concert of “The best Solo Artist” for me? ‘Til now I cannot imagine how happy I was. Well, I hope to meet her closer next time.
