Underground River Experience, Palawan.

Inside Cave Photto.

"Under Ground River" Subterranean River National Park, located in North of the City of Puerto Princesa, Palawan is chosen to be one of the new seven (7) wonders of the World on November 11, 2011 and was confirmed on January 28, 2012.

It was 30 minutes boat sea travel from the port in Puerto Princesa to reach the said National Park which is well protected and maintained by the Philippine Government Authority as it is one of the main tourist spots in Palawan.

Boat ride was a very well satisfying experience as you'll be seeing the clear blue crystal water and sea creatures under it and the small scattered islands around. I had experienced breathing fresh air in the middle of the sea under a blue clear sky, it was so refreshing as I came from a stressful- busy city in the middle east and was taking few days vacation. If you need to find and get to know yourself better, I'll recommend you to visit this island in Puerto Princesa City.

When we reached the island where the underground river is located, we wear automatically head protection caps and life jackets to secure our safety. Ear phones and recorder were given as this will be the guide inside the cave with recorded voice tour guide which can be selected to different languages like English, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and German. One boat man per boat were sailing and telling stories behind the natural images inside the cave like human shaped stones, last suffer images and etc. Authorities are not allowing the visitors or anyone to touch any part of the cave as it may dry the specific part as it is sensitive with human's wet hands. There were a lot of bats as well in the cave that causes the area to smell like pee, well it is normal as you are entering a cave, not a shopping centre. There's a lot of tiny spots as well inside the underground river, well, those came from the bats.

It was a thrilling experience but really amazing as well. You'll be experiencing fear inside as I were thinking that maybe we'll get stock in and never get back but when I saw the small light coming from the outside, I felt like I succeeded again on a trial. You'll feel renewed after the inside cave experience.

There were some animals as well living in the park nearby the under ground river in the forest.

Once you have experienced that challenging moment, you'll never say "No" to any adventures coming into your life.
